SSRS reports taking long time and displaying blank report in Sharepoint site
Hi All, I deployed SSRS reports onto Sharepoint site using integrated mode. Using reportviewer webpart I am displaying the report. I selected parameters, if the time taken to load the report takes more than 2 mins than it is displaying blank report. I think, need to do something in webconfig file. Please help me out here. Thanks in Advance.

Check the connection on the report datasouce. PG A bit of experimentation by trial and error often helps get round problems.

A couple of questions: Does the report run sometimes and and not other times? If the answer is yes, the connection and permissions could be ruled out. The cause could be a combination of time out settings and performance issues. Does the report always run slowly? If the answer is no, probably some other process may be slowing it down. So you may need to find out what the other process is and what it is doing. I would suggestion taking these actions: Look at the time out values in the Site Settings and Reports properties. You can set either to whatever you wish. Changing the time out could partially resolve the problem. The fact the takes over couple of minutes to run merits some further investigation. It would be a good idea to look at the locking in SSMS to see if other processes are locking data and preventing the report from running quickly and also to run the Database Engine Tuning Advisor. These features are in SSMS. Depending on what you find, you may have to rechedule jobs to prevent conflicts and locking, rewrite SQL to minimise locking and/or create new indexes etc. PG A bit of experimentation by trial and error often helps get round problems.
