SSRS in Sharepoint integration mode
We have 3 different servers supporting the SP 2010 architecture which are Sharepoint admin, WFE, SQL server 2008 R2. I have installed SSRS with share point integration mode on the sharepoint admin server. We were able to deploy a SSRS report on to the sharepoint portal and open it from inside our network. But I am not able to access the same report from outside the network. It says " Error, For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors" . I have enabled the remote errors from the SSRS engine properties but I do not see any error either or report logs, SQL logs or windows logs. Our sharepoint portal is externally accessible, I have added the site to trusted sites too. what am I missing here. Any suggestions please Thank you @R

Hi Ramshna, might be due to authentication or reportserver setup issues. Is Authentication for the data source is setup on the report server or local project level ? try this option once for enabling the remote errors. > Management Studio, logon with instance of report server and enable the property "Enable Remote Errors" to see more details for knowing the error message with more details. > Management Studio > Connect to Server, server type: Reporting Services > locate the server instance in Server Name; after connected, in Object Explorer, right-click in server instance > properties > advanced tab > "Enable Remote Errors" set property like TRUE and restart the browser. I do not work much on the sharepoint. I do my best to get you the right information I have installed SSRS on the sharepoint admin server. Reporting service is running under a domain account (same account used for SQL server service with minimal permissions) Under report server configuration manager there is a database which has "following credentials used to connect to the report server database". I used here an AD account with sysadmin permissions on sql server and admin permissions on windows. This is the same account used while isntalling sharepoint so it has access to everything. Now reports are deployed from the dev environment to this server using the same account. I have already enabled the report errors just like the way you said but I still do not see any errors except the one I mentioned above that appears on the browser. There are no errors on report server logs, sql logs or windows logs. @R

Hi Ramshna, hope you have created role assignment under site settings for report manager with required details and also assign the role to the folder and the reports to be managed to the specific user or so. Cheers, Arun Gangumalla
