SSRS error - specified operation is not valid.
Hi.
I have a report which I develop with BIDS SQL 2008 R2 and deployed into SQL SSRS 2008 server. I have set target version to SQL 2008.
When I preview the report within BIDS or deploy into SQL SSRS R2 server, it's all good. But I received an error when I run the report in Report Manager SSRS 2008 server. I looked into the log file and found the following error message:
ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.ReportProcessingException: The specified operation is not valid.
I have set the trace switch to 4 (verbose mode) and didn't receive any further information.
I am wondering if anyone can help me?
Cheers,
Uzzie

Hi Uzzie,
What's the message prompted when the error occurs? From your problem description, the report should work. Could you please check the report datasource connection? If possible, change it using "Credentials stored securely in the report server" otpion
for the datasource.
thanks,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for your reply. When previewing the report in the browser, I only see #Error on the screen. That line is the total line for row grouping which I put on the top of the row group. This is nothing to do with the data source connection as the rest
of the report is correctly displayed.
Cheers,
Uzzie

Hi All,
I had found the solution for my problem. It's because of the format of the column. I use convert function (CDbl) and it's all good.
