SSRS email going to recipents Outlook Junk Mail folder
We send hundreds of emails to various executives in our company on a daily basis. Starting on 6/29 all email started going to the recipents Junk Mail folder. I've gone to the Reporting Services configuration for email and insured the From email address was properly formed. Why all of a sudden? Has Microsoft sent out some sort of "fix" that caused this? If so, how do we fix the "fix"?Jay Nichols

This is not the right forum and not even for SSRS. You need to find out from your infrastructure people what they have changed on 6/29Arthur My Blog

Arthur is correct - this is an Outlook or Exchange configuration issue. It's decided that your email is spam based on whatever rules are in place. It's not likely that Microsoft has done anything - it's more likely your IT staff or executives have done it themselves. The "quick" fix is to get the executives to go into their Junk folder, right-click on a report email, and tell Outlook it's "not Junk". Talk to me now on

As it turns out junk emails have some notation concerning how the email ended up in junk mail. I finally opened up one of these emails and it said the email was determined to be junk by some program other than Outlook or Exchange. My network admin is looking into our problem. Sorry I blamed Microsoft. But it is easy, unfortunately :-) Jay Nichols

I am certain that this is a new rule your provider/company implemented that is simply based on the volume of targeted emails. So the content is probably even irrelevant.Arthur My Blog
