SSRS Subscription Expiry
Not Really but the information supplied by you is very informative. But if you could explain briefly about the "end date parameter" you have mentioned above. Regards, Pulkit Ojha

Thanks a lot Pritam for your response. I really appreciate it. That helps to know that subscriptions do not expire automatically. But I was asking about subscriptions and not share schedules. Again you specified that subscriptions do not expire automatically. But do they expire at all, either manually or automatically. I mean is there any policy which makes the job behind the subscription to be disabled. Just asking because sql jobs can be disabled I suppose. Also if there is any such policy, can it be modified? But thanks again. Regards, Pulkit Ojha

Hi, Prerequisites in place for subscriptions 1) Reporting Services is installed and running 2) SQL Server Agent is running - SQL Server Agent is the scheduling agent, so must be functional 3) SMTP is installed and configured 4) Using Reporting Services Configuration Manager, we have defined valid email settings (this will be the sender email) If you want to set the end Date you can set the End date parameter under Subcription Configuration. Which would then be the decide the End Date for Subcription's So whenever you create subscription's it generates is a "gibberish" GUID (.i.e. 437D4E5B-CB2A-421B-B84F-B54C9D8BD52A). Looking at the SQl Server Agent job there doesn't appear to be any way in looking at that jobs properties that tells you which Scheduled Report it is running. Also check the Article on Policy Based Management for SQL http://www.mssqltips.com/tip.asp?tip=2016 & http://www.sql-server-performance.com/articles/dba/Surface_Area_Configuration_Using_Policy_Based_Management_p1.aspx I hope this is what you looking for. Hi, I have a report running in sharepoint integrated mode which has subscriptions. Can someone please advise on whether the subscriptions expires by itself after a specific time? Is there any policy behind it which makes the report subscriptions to expire? Regards, Pulkit Ojha.
