SSRS Integrated with MOSS : Move to new Active Directory Domain
We have a SSRS 2005 integrated with MOSS 2007 environment. Due to business changes, we'll be removing it from its existing Active Directory Domain to an entirely new AD Domain. Machine names should not be changing, just the fully qualified domain names. All report OLTP datasources use a SQL Server account to connect to data sources. I'm trying to get my head around the changes I'll need to make in the environment to have it work on the new domain. 1. Update service accounts to use new domain account 2. Update the Access Mappings in MOSS to reflect the new fully qualified domain URL 3. Backup encryption keys 4. Update Path field in the SSRS Catalog table to reflect the new fully qualified domain (I know this is a backdoor hack but it beats redploying 200+ reports to 20 diff SharePoint locations) 5. Update OLAP datasources using encrypted windows domain account for connectivity. Any additional tips/suggestions/reading/thoughts would be appreciated. Hi Andy, Just focus on SQL Server Reporting Services(SSRS), the question is seems to be how to migrate a SSRS installation to another machine. In order to migrate a SSRS installation to another machine, what you will do is correct. But in a SharePoint integration mode, please make sure that if we have enable Kerberos authentication, please re-enable the Kerberos authentication by registering the Service Principal Name(SPN) in the domain.
