SSRS 2008 and Clustering.
Hi, I am trying to install SSRS 2008 on a clustered environment. I have found so many contradicting views on web regarding SSRS and clustering. My understanstanding on SSRS and SQL 2008 server cluster(2-node) is that : 1. SSRS2008 is not cluster aware. 2. We can cluster the Reporting Databases. We already have a SQL server 2008 clustering. I guess, we need to install Reporting Databases on both of them. 3. We can install report server on each node in the cluster but that will not be cluster aware(the fail over does not take place). 4. Is there any way we can install report server on a cluster? Right now, we are planning to have one Report server that runs on the sql cluster which has Report databases in it(this way Report databases are clustered). It would be nice if we could have report server also clustered. Please advice. Thanks.

A while ago I created the following blog post to discuss the options available to you around clustering: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/lukaszp/archive/2009/10/28/high-availability-frequently-asked-questions-about-failover-clustering-and-reporting-services.aspx Hope this helps, -LukaszGot a bug or feature request?
