SSRS 2008 R2 server architecture without IIS
Hi, is there any change with the best practices in server architecture from 2005 to 2008 R2, related to 2008 R2 doesn't need IIS? with 2005 I have (basicaly) 1 server for database and 1 server for IIS (SSRS 2005, Reports and ReportServer). With 2008 R2 (best practices with out IIS), is it convenient mantain that architecture, to separate database server from SSRS ReportServer and Reports? thanks

You can still go ahead with the same architecture, having a separate database server, and application server. This architecture helps you even if you want to have scale out deployments in future. I would strongly recommend you to check: Planning and Architecture, which has the following details: Component ArchitectureService Architecture (Reporting Services)Planning a Deployment ModePlanning for Services, Accounts, and ConnectionsPlanning for Content Publishing and Management ToolsPlanning for Report Authoring and Report DeploymentReporting Services FeaturesPlanning for SharePoint Integration Planning for Scale-Out Deployment Chaitanya( Twitter | Blogs ) Any documentation bug?
