SSRS 2008 R2 Column charts -Category labels not showing
The chart has 2 bars for each QuarterYear ( for Appeard and WentThrough). I didnot understand 'interval of axis to 1. For me out of 12 quarters (3 year rolling) Q4 and Q1 for each year are not shown up.

here is a sample of my dataset. YearQuarter TestType Applied Appeared WenThrough 2010 Q4 ED 210 300 140 2010 Q4 NL 210 300 140 2010 Q3 NL 210 300 140 2010 Q3 ED 210 300 140 2010 Q2 NL 210 300 140 2010 Q2 ED 210 300 140 2010 Q1 ED 4775 52606 140 2010 Q1 NL 210 300 140 2009 Q4 ED 210 300 140 My column chart must display column chart for total 'Appeared' and 'WentThroughs' quarterwise. (It shoud add the values of each TestType for a quarter) . But I am getting 2 chart for each quarter, eventhough I have a category group on YearQuarter. I have 2 different chart in the same report, for each testtype, hence the dataset is like this. Any help is appreciated.

kool, Well, if you want to plot Appeared and Wellthrough against YearQuarter. You can follow these steps: 1. Create a Chart control. 2. Double-click the chart to see the chart data section. 3. Drag the YearQuarter field to the Category Groups section. 4. Drag the Appeared and Wellthrough field to the Values section. These are simple steps to follow Regards, Manoj *Happy to help http://fascinatingsql.wordpress.com/

Yes, simple steps.. Did the same. I guess the issue is different and I got diverted. The Category groups are not showing correctly,it shows alternate labes for reasons strange to me. Any clue why?

kool, Alternate labels, well if all labels are not showing then you can change the Interval of axis to 1. Is chart your showing single bar against each quarteryear (in design mode) ? Regards, Manoj *Happy to help http://fascinatingsql.wordpress.com/
