SSRS 2088; Office 2007I have posted about this issue before but found out some new information. When I export any report (even a new one I have created to test) to Word 2007, the Page Orientation saysthe report is landscape, which it should be (Interactive and Page size both set to 11 X 8.5). However, when I print, it prints portrait. When I go into the custom margins, the Margin Orientation says portrait. So the page orientation says landscape and the margin orientation says portrait. Any idea on how to fix this? I can change it manually and print, but I don't want to tell 5,000 users they need to change it :).Thanks in advance,David

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. You are correct thatone workaround for now is to change it manually.I think the XPS print driver would also print as expected. Robert, the KB you provided (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971491 ) is a cumulative update and says that it should not be applied unless issues are present. Can you point to a specific KB which addresses Margin/Orientation issue? I don't want to go through the trouble installing something that is not related to my system and was not tested. Thanks, Ivan

Thanks for the input. When I try to install CU #3 I get the following error. Any ideas what I need to do? The version of SQL Server instance SQLEXPRESS does not match the version expected by the SQL Server update. The installed SQL Server product version is 10.0.1600.22, and the expected SQL Server version is 10.1.2531.0.

Robert,we are now exporting the reports through the SharePoint HTML Reporting Services Viewer, and it is reverting back to the same problem with word margin orientation as mentioned above. The report works fine in Word when using the SSRS report viewer. Is this a problem with the SharePoint?Thanks,David

Based on your information (above), looks like you need your SSRS 2008 Report Viewer web part that ships with SSRS 2008 Add-in for SharePoint to also be updated with theappropriate CU#3 fix. In order to do so, when you are downloading "SQL_Server_2008_SP1_Cumulative_Update_3" via KB 971491 you need to also select/ download filename "SQL_Server_2008_SP1_Cumulative_Update_3_RS_Sharepo". This packageshould contain the rsSharePoint.msithat includesthe updated Reportviewer web part and you need to install it on on your SharePoint WFEs. No timeframe for SP2 has been announced.
