I have a report in SSRS 2005 with 2 column groups (parent child like) in a matrix and i use to hide child group based on values of a parameter but once i upgrade to SSRS 2008 it is not working correctly. Now either both groups are visible or both are hidden.

The conversion from 2005 to 2008 probably messed up the Visibility properties. I would all your Visibility settings then SAVE the report. Then re-define the one(s) you want. In 2008, the Matrix control and the Table control have been replaced with a "Tablix". Hi Pankaj, The visibility property for a column in SQL Server Reporting Services(SSRS) 2008 is big different than the property in SSRS 2005. In SSRS 2008, we need to change to "Advanced Mode", and then hide the column or group.
