SSRS 2008 - Where is the Report Footer?
I'm just beginning to learn SSRS 2008. I've used many other report writers, and most, if not all, had the ability to create report headers and footers (in addition to page headers/footers). I can't see to find a way to create a report footer. In the report I'm creating, I would like to include some information on the very last page of the report, and only the last page. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks.

Select the menu item "Report" and look at the drop down. It has options header and footer. Click on whatever that you need, it comes up on the report layout. HTHPhani Note: Please vote/mark the post as answered if it answers your question/helps to solve your problem.

There is a similar discussion on this previously, you can check the workarounds mentioned in: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/sqlreportingservices/thread/2f6adaab-cd9e-4239-9ac1-62bb3a1053db For Report designing you can use ReportBuilder 3.0 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=d3173a87-7c0d-40cc-a408-3d1a43ae4e33&displaylang=en) where I did hear about Report Footer. Also, this is relatively good tool for designing reports. Hope this helps!!Chaitanya

Chaitanya, Thanks. I would consider Report Builder 3, but it requires a SQL Server 2008 R2 server. We haven't moved to those yet. Randy

For SSRS2008, you can try with Report Builder 2.0. Here is the download link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=9f783224-9871-4eea-b1d5-f3140a253db6&displaylang=enChaitanya

Hi Randy Minder, To your original question “I can't see to find a way to create a report footer, I would like to include some information on the very last page of the report, and only the last page” Have you solved it, if not Below is for you: Report header and footer of a report are optional and disabled by default. If you want to repeat information on report pages, you can enable this report section and then place a textbox inside the designed section, steps for adding the report footer: 1. Click the design tab. 2. On the report menu on the top menu bar, select Add Page Footer If you just want to display the report footer on the last report page, you could control the textbox’s visibility on the report footer, click the textbox on the report footer and press F4 button to open the property grid window, then find out Hidden property, type in the expression for this property =IIF(Globals!PageNumber=Globals!TotalPages, false, true) Preview the report, then you could only see the report footer’s content on last page. Thanks, Challen Fu
