SSRS 2008 - Reportbuilder 3. Report Properties
Hi. In short I would like to refer to other Report properties in a Report. The Report properties such as Author and Description. Is it possible to use a format like Report!Item.Value I've tried variations on this idea but nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated. thanks Mark

Hi Equiton, As far as I know, we cannot refer to other Report properties in a Report through a format like Report!Item.Value. In Reporting Services we use Reportitems!textbox.value to refer to other report items value. As the report is processed, each text box in the report body or in a data region is evaluated in the context of its dataset, data region, and group associations. The scope for a reference to the ReportItems collection is the current scope or any point higher than the current scope. However we cannot refer to another report. I was looking to use report properties within a report. I see that report description and author are report properties, but there seems to be no way to use them in the report. I do not mean to reference properties from one report in another report.Mark
