Hi, What is the use of Building a SSRS project? I can see this menu item when right clicking a SSRS 2008 R2 project. Thanks

Hi James_SM, Thanks for your question. Based on my research and experiences, I will try to explain them for you. Build means compile and link only the source files that have changed since the last build, while Rebuild means compile and link all source files regardless of whether they changed or not. Build is the normal thing to do and is faster. Sometimes the versions of project target components can get out of sync and rebuild is necessary to make the build successful. Hope it helps you. If you have any other question, please let me know. Thanks, Sharp Wang Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help you and unmark them if they provide no help.
