SSRS 2005 report export to excel - show text as number
When exports the report to excel, some columns are numbers(something like 00125987). We need these columns to be text, but excel convert these columns in numbers and in result we received not "00125987" but "125987". How to fix that? We need all these columns to be text. Thanks.

In excel if you put a single quote in front of the number it will read as text. Format your field in the report using an "iif" statement to enter one of those. Upon export Excel will read it as a text.

But in this case in excel will be something like <quote><number>(,012345). But we need to be in excel only the number(012345). Is possible to do that? Thanks.

Hi Pascari Adrian, Since you want to display 00125987 rather than 125987, you could convert this number on report level using CStr function. Then this number will be displayed in the format of String. Thanks. Challen Fu
