SSRS 2005 Report Manager missing menu bar and folders
I've installed and configured SSRS several times on various machines but I've never run into this problem before. I'm running SSRS 2005 on the same machine as the SQL 2005 engine instance as well as IIS and the SSRS reports and reportserver applications. The machine is Windows 2003 Server SP2. I've implemented SSL for the reports and reportserver applications per the MS instructions. That seems to be working fine. My problem is that the Report Manager home page shows the "SQL Server Reporting Services" and "Home" titles at the upper left, the "Home" and "Help" links at the upper right and thegold and blue bar across the page below these headings, but it has nothing else on it.The entire toolbar is missing which normally contains options for "New Folder", "New Data Source", "Upload File", and "Report Builder". The default folder"Data Sources"below the toolbaris also missing. I'm guessing that this is an authority issue but I've checked all of the login authorizations in SQL and all looks correct. I also don't find any error messages in the Windows Event Logs nor the SSRS logs.

Thanks for the info. When I remove Anonymous access to the Reports IIS application, I get prompted for a login and password three times and even though I enter a valid local machine admin login, I still get the "You are not authorized to view this page" error page.

I had the same problem and solved it using the suggesting given above plus some. Here is what I did. I ran "aspnet_regiis.exe -i " from command prompt to re-install ASP.NET (I read this somewhere) In IIS Manager, server_name > Web Sites > Reports > Directory Security > Authentication and access control > unchecked "Enable anonymous access" and checked "Integrated Windows authentication" Did the same for server_name > Web Sites > ReportServer > Directory Security > Authentication and access control Hope this helps. Hi We are logging into the report server (windows server 2003) as a user that is an administrator on the domain. When we look at User table in the Report server database and the BUILTIN\Administrators record exists as well as the Role table record and PolicyUsersRole table record In IIS 7 the Reports and Report Server Authentication is set to Unticked enable anonymouse access and ticked Integrated Windows Authentication In Reporting services configuration manager the Web service Identity is set to Report server for both Report Server and Report Manager. We are able to open Report manager web page but no Menus exist - Please help
