I am using Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005 I have developed a SSRS report in VS 2005 that has a three column layout and uses a table with a group header, details, and group footer to display information. The report is used in part of a web application and users are forced to view the report as a PDF. Text in the group header and group footer are successfully searched, however I have found that text in the Details area of the table does not register when you try to find text (Ctrl-F) in the PDF. Any thoughts?

Hi LJ2008 - without seeing the PDF I'm just guessing. But in certain combinations of languages-OS's-fonts we output the glyphs (pictures of charachters)instead of the underlying font-based-text. In these circumstances you would not be able to search or copy paste the text as you might expect. You might try updating to the latest service pack to get full PDF font embedding support which in most cases no longer needs to glyph text. -JonHPMicrosoft SQL Server Reporting Services
