Hello, I have a matrix report in my SSRS 2005 report described below. 2010 Jan Feb Mar YTD of Col1 YTD of Col2 YTD Col1 Col2 Col1 Col2 Col1 Col2 A 10 15 20 25 30 35 60 70 130 B 5 10 15 20 25 30 45 60 105 Have a requirement to display the subtotal of Col1 and Col2 individually i.e., YTD of Col1 = Col1 of Jan + Col1 of Feb + Col1 of Mar YTD of Col2 = Col2 of Jan + Col2 of Feb + Col2 of Mar YTD = YTD of Col1 + YTD of Col2, was able to get this. Can you help in achieving the above requirement. Thanks

Hi, On my reporting services experience, we can't achieve it in SSRS 2005. If SSRS 2008, try the following expression: YTD of Col1: =SUM(IIF(Fields!Colfield.value = 'Col1',Fields!Amount.value,0)) YTD of Col2: =SUM(IIF(Fields!Colfield.value= 'Col2',Fields!Amount.value,0)) YTD:=SUM(Fields!Amount.value) thanks, Jerry

Thanks Jerry for your reply. I know this can be achieved in different ways using SSRS 2008, but i need this in SSRS 2005.

I got a workaround to implement this. Appended the existing matrix report with 2 tables each with a additional resultset which is yielding YTD of Col1 and YTD of Col2. It looks like extactly same as above report.
