SSRS 2005 - Report subscriptions
Hi all I am trying to create a subscription for a report. I have read that I need to store credentials if I want to have a subscription for a report. The report works fine if I dont store credentials. However, if I store credentials and then click Apply, the report suddenly stops working. In the Properties for the report, I am entering the user name as follows: domain\user. This is the user setup for the Unattended Execution Account. I have also specified a password in the password box. The connection type is Microsoft SQL Server. I am not sure if I need anything in the Connection string box, so have tried a couple of combinations, which are: Data Source=s3-sql; Data Source=s3-sql;Initial Catalog=AX_ANSA_LIVE Neither of these worked. The error I am getting is: An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted) Cannot create a connection to data source 'ANSA Live'. (rsErrorOpeningConnection) For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors Can anyone help with this please?

For some reason, if I go back to edit the report Properties, the password length changes from what I had entered - I use a password which is 10 characters in length, but if I Apply this password, it changes to be 8 characters. What is going on there?? Also, it is a shared data source that the report is using - I read on the MSDN website that if it is a shared data source I need to set the stored credentials on the data source itself. I have tried this too - I used the same user name and password as above, the connection type and connection string were already filled in. I am still getting the same error as above. Anyone have any clues? Cheers
