SSRS 2005 - How to use the data returned from a stored procedure on a report?
Hi all I have just finished creating a stored procedure to return data from SQL. It is stored on the SQL Mgmt Studio, and it works fine when run from either SQL Mgmt Studio or BIDS 2005. However, I am now in the Layout pane in BIDS, and need to use the data returned from the SP in the report. But when I expand the SP dataset in the Layout page, there are no fields showing. How do I add the fields returned from the SP into my report? Thanks for help Naz

Make sure couple of things: 1. Select Query type as Stored Procedure 2. Give SP name with proper parameters 3. Make sure that fields are refreshed, when you press OK button. It will generated fields when query execution is successful. Please vote for answer if it helps you.
