SSRS 2005, Blank Area (Column) after a Matrix Subtotal Column in a List
Hi, i have the following problem: I have only a matrixwith a right subtotal column and this matrixwasin a list. The list fits perfectly the matrix in design mode. But if i render the report in the viewer or to pdf, an additional blank area (like a blank copy of the subtotal column)wasinserted after the right subtotalcolumn of thematrix and increases the list too. You can see this easy by set the backgroundcolor of a listto a color. Without the subtotal column the list fits perfect after rendering. The problem is that this additional blank "column" creates empty pages in .pdf rendering, if the width of the matrix is near the page width. The same behaviour happens if i put the matrix with subtotalin a rectangle. I must use a list in the endbecause the the final report contains some matrixes and a subreport. So is this a bug? Someone must have this problem too? Thanks for any help.

_Morpheus_, I'm experiencing the same problem. Did you ever find a solution? Thanks, Jeff

In my report, I had a single column table as the right-most column (just to the right of the matrix report). What worked for me was to disable the matrix subtotal, move the table next the the matrix as it would occur without a subtotal, and then reinable the subtotal WITHOUT moving the table. In the layout, the total column overrides the table, but on the report it looks correct. If you don't have a column to the right of your matrix, you might try creating a very narrow dummy column that you mark as not visible and then set it up as above. Hope it works.
