SSRS - A report doesn't print the background picture of a sub-report
Hi, I have a report, R1, that has a picture in the background. I run and print the report in Visual Studio and also in SSRS and everything is okay. I created a new report R2, that contain a tablix with only one row and one column and inside of it I have the first report R1 as a subreport. This is because I need to run the report R1 in one shot for many companies. In Visual Studio everything is okay - running an printing the report. When I go in SSRS I run the report and everything looks fine on the screen, but if I try to print or to export the result my background will dissapear. Do you have any idea why? Is there a way to have that backgroup printed? Any idea and/or help will be appreciated. I use Visual Studio 2008 to generate the reports and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Version 10.0.2520.0. Thank you, Claudiu

Hi Claudiu, Based on my test, it does exist such an issue in SSRS2008, however it works fine in SSRS2008 R2, so to work around the issue in SSRS2008, you could add a rectangle into the report, then set this rectangle’s background image property to work as whole report’s background image, as rectangle’s background image will not be ignored when displayed as subreport in the main report. Thank you ... It is exactly what I did but I was just curious if it was a different way to do it. Thanks again, Claudiu
