SSRS (SQL 2008 R2) Subscription (Configured in native mode & not a part of sharepoint farm) to SharePoint 2010 document Library failing due to UNC Path error
Hi Friends, I want to save document (report in pdf format from ssrs - report server --> outside sharepoint farm) to a sharepoint document library. I have given a path - 1. \\intranet.companyname.com/managedpath/site/subsite/Shared Documents 2. \\intranet.companyname.com\managedpath\site\subsite\Shared Documents then i have tried with - instead of \\intranet.companyname.com 3. \\servername:portnumber & 4. \\serverip:portnumber All are giving the same error --> SharePoint Error - The path is not valid. The path must conform to Uniform Naming Convention (UNC) format. Plese advise. Rgds, Minesh

Hello Minesh, Thank you to post your question on TechNet forum. Based on my experience, you cannot upload the document to SharePoint with UNC. Actually, the content is stored in SharePoint database. If we want to store the files to SharePoint document, we need call SharePoint service to upload the content. Based on the feature list of SSRS, it does not support this kind of action on Native mode. If you want to achieve this goal, implementing a custom delivery extension is the only way. Here is the link about how to implement custom delivery extension on MSDN. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms154050 I hope it is helpful to you.
