SSRS2005 Connecting to SAP BW
Hi, I'm using SSRS2005(sp3) to connect to SAP BW 7.0 via XMLA. The connection is based on basic authentication - user/password. There is a dedicated logon created at SAP side. I can create connection, see querycubes, and render reports. The problem is after a period of time - a couple of days, the SAP BW server becomes very slow, and there are heaps of that SSRS logons existing in BW system. It looks like that for each report request, the BW system creates a session for that connection, and that connection is never recycled until you manually clear them off. Can anyone provide any thoughts? Thank you.

Just an update to this post. What I found is when I run a report, I will get more than 20 Plugin HTTP type sessions at SAP BW side, and which never disappear! All I can do it to manually log out all the sessions.

Just a quick finish to this post. Our "solution" is to time out those logins that don't explicitly close the connections in BW system. Hope this helps the people having the same problem. Cheers.
