SSIS pkg writing 0 length files
I've got two versions of a SQL data query that I can run in two different pkgs. One is a strait select query that takes about an hour to run and the other is a modified script that uses table variables and I finally select my columns from the table
variable.
This later sql returns records just fine in query analyzer but when run in the SSIS package returns a 0 length file.
Is the use of table variables not allowed in the Data Flow Task?
Anyway to troubleshoot this?

I found that adding SET NOCOUNT ON; at the top of the SQL allowed it to generate data. Thanks to another thread I read.....It's returning beefy files now.
So I guess bottom line if you are going to use table variables, always add the SET NOCOUNT ON;
