SSIS package deployment using manifest file
Hi i am new to ssis, just now i started learning, I just created one package which will read the flat file content and will write to the another flat file by modifying some column values. i created the manifest file for the project using deployment utility. Now my problem is when i double click the manifest file, nothing happens ! iam not able to see the deployment wizard also i didnt see any error messages even if i click the dtinstall.exe the same its not triggering. Any idea ? or it may be environmet issue ? Pls help me ! Thanks in advance Shankar

Hi Shankar, Did you use the default value -- bin\Deployment ? And is it there? The symptoms do point to an installation issue, indeed.Arthur My Blog

there should be a problem in the installed file, maybe a repair or re-install helps, But you can use other methods of deployment like using DTUTIL; http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms162820.aspxhttp://www.rad.pasfu.com
