SSIS is not recognzing column Delimiter
I have a flat file with column delimiter of Group Separator. I can see the GS in notepad++ but the connection manager is not picking it up. Is there any way to have the connection manager pick this up?

Hello,
You can enter the delimiter manually.Olaf Helper

You mean, the data in the preview is still the same? After changing the delimiter you have to refresh the view.Olaf Helper

I did refresh.
Still the same result. It recognizes the Row Delimiter without issue but it is common LF.

Sorry, I don't get what you mean? Can you please explain more detailed how your source file looks like, what you entered in flat file source and what result you get.Olaf Helper

This is how SQL Parses it one big string

Connection Manager does recognize {LF} which is the Row Delimiter in this file.
When I place in the Column delimeter of (Alt + 29 = Group Separator) and then refresh the file stays in the same form as above

Hi Luther88,
Do you mean you are using (alt+29) as Column delimiter in flat file connection manager? I have treid it on my test environment and it cannot use this as Column delimiter also, I am afraid it cannot do that. I suggest you can use script component to parse the
column instead of using column Delimiter, and here is a similar thread, please refer to:
