Have a SSIS Package that runs on a server that is executed via a batch file. On some occasions the package appears to complete successful but when we review the event log errors the SSIS package show an error occurred. We are running SQL 2005 The package has a main and then calls a sub package. We know that the package completes successful because the last step in the package is a table insert and that table has all the records appended to it. Any Idea's on this would be helpfully. You did not post the error itself. I would say why do not you try running it outside the BAT file? This is because I think it is possible the package does NOT succeed indeed. And the fact you see the batch file completing successfully is probably red herring because in turn, for the batch file to declare a success, it merely is enough to kick off your DTExec. As an aside, no package should be deployed w/o logging set (at least a rudimentary one, say logging into a flat file).Arthur My Blog
