SSIS Deployment
Hi, Can some one help me with the answers for below Qs: 1>Did you see SSIS being installed on the database or application server?. 2>Will it be run as a windows service or database service?. 3>Does an INI file get installed when this is set up please?. ThanksAnky

Hi, actually SSIS Service is a windows service for executing and managing SSIS packages. It depends on your deployment model for SSIS packages if you really need it. The most usual way is to deploy to a folder and execute the package via dtsexec and sql agent. In this case you do not need this service and can stop it. The service relies on a xml configuration file.
