I created SSIS package using VS 2008, Is it possible to run as SQL Agent job in SQL Server 2005

Maybe. But the package would need to be deployed to a SQL 2008 instance of Integration Services first. After that, go to the SQl 2005 box and see if you can create the job step.Todd C - MSCTS SQL Server 2005 - Please mark posts as answered where appropriate.

Deployed in SQL 2008 instance of Integration Services and created job in SQL2005 (in job used SQL SSIS Type in Steps) when i execute getting following error Could not load package "\Test2008" because of error 0xC0014062. Description: The LoadFromSQLServer method has encountered OLE DB error code 0x80040E14 (Could not find stored procedure 'msdb.dbo.sp_dts_getpackage'.). The SQL statement that was issued has failed. Source: Started: 1:10:15 PM Finished: 1:10:15 PM Elapsed: 0.312 seconds. The package could not be loaded. The step failed

No, it is not possible. SSIS 2005 tools can't run SSIS 2008 generated packages. Talk to me now on
