SSIS - script task - Edit Script
Hi, In the scriptmain.cs file properties - the full path shows as "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\2\SSIS\......................" and the package is saved in File Structure on test server. When I deploy the package to the server using the Impot package in SSMS Integration Services - MSDB, how will the package access or know where to find the scriptmain.cs? Do I have to save the script in a different full path? Thanks -NR

It would be much better if you save it under universal path like \\Server1\folder1\....Best Wishes, Arbi --- MCC 2011; Please vote if you find this posting was helpful or Mark it as answered.

what do you mean by scriptmain.cs ? do you want to use script task in the package? if yes, just add a script task and use it, don't worry about script file, the script will embed in the dtsx package. if you mean anything else explain more please.http://www.rad.pasfu.com

Reza is correct. The only reason there is an actual "ScriptMain.cs" file created is in order for SSIS to use the VSTA toolset. After you've completed editing the script itself, the code is stored directly inside the DTSX file. It's all self-contained within the package itself. There is nothing else to copy or deploy except for the DTSX file. Talk to me now on

I just wanted to know if the script was getting stored within the dtsx file. Thank you for the replies. Thanks, NR
