SRSS 2008 R2 Autoprinting
Hi Guys, Recently we have begun a migration of a lot of reports to a SRSS platform. One major disadvantage we have come across so far is the lack of scheduling and auto printing from SRSS. I am wondering if there truly is no way to do it or my unfamiliarity with SRSS is stopping me from figuring it out. Regards, Caz

Subscriptions are part of the Reporting Services web site and is where you would (with proper privs) create a subscription for a report. The subscription insures that a given report will run at either a schedule that you create "on the fly" or a schedule that was already created for more than one report to use. As far as auto printing, I don't think there's a way to assign a subscription (or report) to a specific printer without creating an app to do so. When you want to print a report, you either go to the file share that the report was saved to, open the file (pdf, excel, word, mhtml, tiff, xml) and print it out. If the report was sent via email, it can be printed by the user it was sent to in one of the sent formats that I just mentioned. I hope that helps. William A. Reiss

EasyTiger is right, furthermore if you want to automate printing to PDF without opening Acrobat Reader in supported way, then you need the Adobe PDF Print Engine from datalogics.Josh Ash
