SQL server eval period expired
The evaluation period of SQL server (of ILM RC0 VHD) has expired. Is there any way to extend it? If I have lisence keys, how to use them? Must I really first uninstall the current installation of theSQL server?

You can set your virtual machine system clock back, but don't forget to switch off time synch from Hyper-V. You will need to reboot then stop and start various services that seem to slow right down and consume all the CPU (Exchange Information Store especially), but it works eventually.Dave

Not a perfect solution, I wish we could have a new VHD created or don't Microsoft want us to continue evalute it especially now when it's been postponed?Sorry for the it but I believe I'm not used to FIM yet :-)Edit: What I wish to say is it takes almost a day to set up ILM "2" from scratch so I believe the VHD is a great solution for evaluationand I have also used it for development. A day just for installation is a lot of time!

The new VHD is being tested right now. On popular demand I have decided to create an image where ILM is not configured but installed. I have all prerequisitesinstalled, ILM installed and I will export a ILM Synchronization Service config in case you dont want to create the MA's. You will download the VHD and two guides that take about 1 hour a piece. FIrst guide walks you through setting up user and group management and the second guide is password reset. Sounds like a great idea. Giving people the option to turn it on and look, import configuration or do it themselves will allow more people to utilise it. I've never looked at it myself because I find working through the installation a good learning experience. It would be nice to provide the VHD to a customer, sit down with them and export the sync engine pieces and then work through the portal stuff however...
