SQL server collation

Hello,

Is it possible to install proclarity 6.3 on a case sensitive collation ?

We are currently using the collation SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS but we are moving everything (proclarity and our own DB) to a new server with a collation Latin1_General_CP1_CS_AS

After migrating the DB from the old instance to the new one I tried to change the SQL adress in the administration tool and I'm getting the following message:

'The 'test' server contains an Analytics Server database with a format that is no longer valid. To update this DB please right-click the server and select repair server.'

The problem is I do not have that 'repair server' choice in the contextual menu :)

Thank you for any help.

Hi Cedric,

If you're having issues changing the SQL server name from the administration tool what you can do is directly modfiy the metabase (iis6) or edit the applicationhost.config file(iis7).  These IIS configuration files have the connection string in clear text.  You could also use SQL aliasing on the PAS server itself.

I am having this same issue...

Error: The <servername> server contains an Analytics Server database with a format that is no longer valid. To update this DB please right-click the server and select repair server.' The problem is I do not have that 'repair server'

I'm moving my PAS installation to a new server, Win2008 R2 w/ SQL Server 2008. I restored the DB files which were on SQL Server 2005...  Is there an easy way to remedy this issue?
