TimeStamp is the date and time of the inventory. You can refer to the ConfigMgr SDK, you will find all info about the v_GS_WORKSTATION_STATUS view and its properties as TimeStamp http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=064a995f-ef13-4200-81ad-e3af6218edcc&displaylang=en, Bechir Gharbi. MCSA, MCSE M+S, MCITP Server/Enterprise Administrator, MCT, MCTS Configuration Manager/Forefront (Time Zone : GMT+1)

My VM is powered down, so I might be wrong, but I think that "TimeStamp" is the date/time when the data was written to the database. The date/time of the last inventory is stored in "LastHardwareScan".

Torsten is correct. The Timestamp is when the data is written to SQL. It has nothing to do with when the data was collected.http://www.enhansoft.com/
