SQL Server reporting services
Hi, I have reporting services installed and configured on a server. How can I add BUILTIN\Administrator to reporting services?

In the report manager web interface, add a new role assignment. Instead of BUILTIN\Administrator, use MACHINENAME\Administrator where "MACHINENAME" is the actual name of your server.

By default BUILTIN\Administrator should have access to Reporting Services. Can you please let us know what you are looking for, specifically? Also, go through the following article - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa337491.aspx

By default the BUILTIN\Administrators group is added. Its a minor point but it looked to me like the original question was regarding the BUILTIN\Administrator user. It is probably safe to assume the user would be a member of the group.

Hi Faisal, I need to apply cumulative update on reporting server and I don't have an access to reporting services. But I am part of BUILIN\Admin, so I need the info on how to add builtin\admin to reporting server?

Hi Iliyaz, I don't think you need to add the account to Reporting Services to install update. Just use native administrator account and install the cumulative update.
