SQL Server Reporting Service 2012 - Cannot Connect to the Database Server
Hello Community, I am using SQL Server 2012 on a Windows 2012 Cluster. I am trying to configure the Report Server Database but every time I go through the Report Server Database Configuration Wizard to create a database I get this error: Could not connect to the server. A network-related error or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that the SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server). I am using "Current-User Integrated Security" with my own account which has public, sysadmin and database creator permissions. the MSSQLSERVER service is started, Named Pipes are defined, and I have Inbound and Outbound Fire Wall rules defined to allow traffic on port 1433. Has anyone else ever seen this problem and if so can you help me resolve it? Thanks!
