Hello, When lanching for the first time the Reporting Services Configuration Manager I am getting an error: "Unahandled exception occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore the error and attempt to continue. If you Click Quit, the application will close immediately. Hi Felyjos, What's the version of reporting services? try to change the security rights of this file, in order to replace current rights for its primary object: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.[X]\Reporting Services\ReportServer\rsreportserver.config. also check the thread http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/sqlreportingservices/thread/85b3492b-084b-4ece-bd06-4d1212a5a72e with similar issue to see if it helps. thanks, Jerry

I tried to re-install four times already SSRS as it is the only SQL component on this server and it is still the same issue. Should I reinstall also the SQL Server itself(another server)? After all this I tried again also - uninstall IIS - Uninstall Reporting Servcie -re install IIS - Re install Reporting Service still the same issue... File system: - Did you see "rsreportserver.config" and "web.config" or other components under reporting service directory (e.g.%SystemDriver%\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.?\Reporting Services\ReportServer) YES Registry: - Did you see values in "\HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.?\Setup"? YES any idea/ thanks, Dom System Center Operations Manager 2007 / System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 / Forefront Client Security / Forefront Identity Manager

I am running SQL Server 2005 SP3 I will check the premissions on the folder listed. I added the accounts with full control on the file. but still the WMI error I have already installed SQL Server 2005 SP3 ... so SSRS should be the same version isn't it? any way to verify...? I will try again a repair on SSRS as SQL Server 2005 SP3 is on SRS1 server, and SSRS is on VRS1 two separate servers... do I need any SSRS component(s) on SRS1 where the Reporting Server database is? Felyjos Have you successfully installed SSRS on any other server? Trying to eliminate the windows build problem. If the OS got problem, sometime COM problems are really hard to diagnose.. Sevengiants.com
