SQL Server 2012 or SQL Server 2008 R2?
So maybe this is a dumb question but I'll ask it anyway (because I honestly don't know the answer). Almost every guide I've seen so far for setting up SCCM 2012 says to use SQL Server 2008 (SP2 or R2) as your database of choice for SCCM 2012. I see SCCM 2012 RTM is now out on Volume Licensing. I also see that SQL Server 2012 was just released as well. Since I'm about to build my SCCM server from scratch I'd like to make it as current as possible. Should I go ahead and try to build it out with SQL Server 2012 or just be conservative and stick with SQL Server 2008 R2?.

The Primary site installs fine on a SQL 2012 cluster, although when adding a reporting point the field for the SRS instance is unpopulated so cannot be completed. It verifies connectivity to the site DB OK but won't populate the SRS field when the SRS instance is on a 2012 node or a standalone SQL 2008 instance. I guess when it's supported this might work....(or I've done something wrong!) Simon.

Do you know that there is a CM12 forum? http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/systemcenter2012configurationmanager Currently SQL 2012 is not supported.. From my testing SQL 2012 does work but not SSRS. http://www.enhansoft.com/
