Hi, I like the idea of Data Alerts in SS 2012 but we do not use Sharepoint at all in our company. There are no intentions to migrate to SP, so I'd like to avoid it. Is there any way to get the Data Alert functionality in SS 2012 without Sharepoint? Workaround, 3rd party solution, etc. Any idea is welcome. Cheers

Hi To my understanding, Data Alerts requires SharePoint with SQL Agent Jobs running. Without SharePoints we couldn't have alternate options. Hello, You cannot create Data alert without Sharepoint Uptil now as the report must be saved in SharePoint Library to generate the data alert which actually internally uses agent job to track a perticular data field of your report. This feature can be used with SSRS files RDL's and cannot be with Power View yet, but do not know in future Microsoft may make this available without Sharepoint and Power View too :) But its a wonderful feature and very good development.
