SQL Server 2008 eval Reporting Services installation fails: Error: Action "SqlRSConfigAction_install_ConfigR C_Cpu32" failed during execution.
Need help to do a clean install of SQL Server 2008 eval. Running the X86 self-extracting executable, installs with failures. Reporting Services fails to install properly. Hi Rob,This problem occurs if the Microsoft .NET Framework performance counter setting is corrupted. We can reload the .NET Framework performance counters with following steps to fix the issue:1) Open cmd window and run as administrator.2) Type the following command, and then press ENTER: lodctr /R: %windir%\system32\PerfStringBackup.ini 3) Reinstall SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services.
