SQL Server 2008 R2 SSIS Dev package to non-R2 SQL Server 2008 enterprise deploymnet
Hi all, Can we develop a package using SQL Server 2008 R2 Developer Edition and deploy it onto SQL Server 2008 Enterprise( non- R2) Instance. Thank You Raghu

Technically speaking, you are developing using Visual Studio 2008, Service Pack 1, but yes, you can do what you say. In my environment, I have SQL 2008 R2 Developer on my workstation, with VS 2008 SP1. I develop and deploy to a TEST Server running SQL 2008 R2. From there, if it tests out OK, it gets copied to a SQL 2008 (non-R2) production machine. No worries, mon.Todd C - MSCTS SQL Server 2005 - Please mark posts as answered where appropriate.

Yes, you can - as long as you do NOT use the ADO.Net Destination component in any data flows. Talk to me now on
