SQL Management Studio on Windows 10

SQL Server Management Studio doesn't work on Windows 10.

Tested with SQL Express with Tools 2008SP2, 2012, 2014SP1, 2016CPT.

In ALL versions same error: App enc. error etc. do u want to debug.

And attempt to debug another error with Visual Studio license...

It must be just you.... 'cause I don't have any trouble running the SQL Server Management Studio

What is the exact error message?

I have non english version, so I can download it and try to reproduce an error.

But in error message there is no buttons to see exact error message. Only Close and Debug (Can I attach screenshot?).

May be the same error described here:

https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/774317/sql-server-management-studio-2012-2014-crashes-when-closing

Sorry, here is "when closing", but I have an error "when starting"...

PS. I'll go to download an english version...

PSS. In english version of SQLExpress I have an error message in russian, not english. I can't change the OS language.

OK, I believe it has to do with the WMI service.  Take a look at this article on how to redo the SQL Server WMI components

WMI? x32 SQL?? Config manager???

1. Problem is with Management Studio, NOT config manager (it started OK).

2. SQL Express x64 was installed on clear x64 windows 10 with (and without) updates.

3. Was tested with SQL Exp. 2008R2, 2012, 2014SP1, 2016CPT.

4. Was tested on Insider preview, Technical preview, Release.

5. Was tested on VirtualBox 4.3.2x - 4.3.30 (last).
