SQL Clustering 2005 failed on 2008r2
We had a trouble to complete SQL 2005 installation after a A/P Cluster has been configured. error as below : SQL Server Setup could not connect to the database service for server configuration. The error was: [Microsoft][SQL Native Client]Shared Memory Provider: Shared Memory is not supported for clustered server connectivity . Refer to server error logs and setup logs for more information. For details on how to view setup logs, see "How to View Setup Log Files" in SQL Server Books Online. I found that this issue somehow has been marked as "answered" in http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/is/sqlgetstarted/thread/7082ce5b-ba9e-4669-a91d-a66affa17e08 However, I cant find the troubleshooting guide or resolution in the above link. Any suggestion guys?

Are you to see SQL services in services.msc ? Share the SQL server installation logs & error logs for more details. Check SQL service account have sufficent permissions over both nodes? Need error logs for more analysis.Regards, Rohit Garg (My Blog) This posting is provided with no warranties and confers no rights.
