SQL Cluster not registered in Site Systems
I am having an issue with SCCM post installation using a remote SQL Clulster for the database - the SQL virtual server name does not appear within Site Systems - both physical nodes appear with component server, site database and site systes roles for each node.
Kerberos authentication is enabled on the SQLNetworkName Properties within Cluster Administrator
SETSPN has been run and SETSPN -L accountname lists the following:
MSSQLSvc\sqlname
MSSQLSvc\sqlname:1433
MSSQLSvc\sqlname.domain.local
MSSQLSvc\sqlname.domain.local:1433
The virtual SQL Name appears successfully in Active Directory
The SQL service account is configured to be trusted for delegation to any service
The following SQL Query on the SQL cluster returns KERBEROS
select auth_scheme from sys.dm_exec_connections where
session_id=@@spid
The only problem area I can find is that within ADESIEDIT.MSC in the properties of the sql service accountSELF had read serviceprincipalnamebut not write serviceprincipalname - I have now corrected this.
I have run a site reset but within site systems I only see the cluster nodes and not the virtual server
The cluster nodes both have component server, site database and site system roles displayed.
Please can you advise how I can troubleshoot this further
Many Thanks
Paul

Torsten,
Do I have to enter a new Server Name and Instance as well as a new Database Name (Step 9) or do I leave them as is since the database already resides on a Named Instance on our SQL 2005 Cluster?
Thanks in Advance,
Joe

Torsten,
I wanted to reply back the issue has been resolved by moving both the SCCM and WSUS Databases local the SCCM Site Server. I just hope the let it reside where it is so there are no future complications.
Thanks for the help.
