SQL 2014 upgrade error code 2331

I tried to upgrade my current MSSQL 2008 R2 developer to MSSQL 2014 developer run on OS 7 professional.

Hello,

It seems like media corruption. Please download the SQL Server 2014 media again, copy it to a folder on the disk drive, unzip the ISO (if needed) and run setup from there.

This error may come from different reasons:

Out-of-date version of Windows Installer.
