SQL 2012 and SQL 2008 R2

Hello All,

One of our Project use Legacy System that has Collatin : Latin1_General_CI_AI and the other has Collation : SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS.
What will be the impact when we join two tables?
How do we join and what is COLLATE condition to be use ?
Will there be a performance in quering the DBs,???

Any Suggestions or what needs to be taken care or implemented please

One of our Project Database is using 2012 and the other is 2008 R2

Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (SP1) - 11.0.3128.0 (X64)

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP2) - 10.50.4000.0 (X64)

We are joing the tables from both DBS,

What will be impact when we join tables from the different versions in future??
Or is it ok to use as is if there is no impact?

Any Suggestions or what needs to be taken care or implemented please

Thanks in Advance
