SQL 2008 SP2 Report Builder 2 Clickonce installation fails
Hi, we have updated our MOSS 2007 farm (12.0.0.6529, x64, german language installation) to make use of the reporting services our MS SQL 2008 SP2 offers. The installation of the Sharepoint Addin was successful on the frontend servers (build 10.2.4000) (downloaded from: http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=971491&kbln=en-us#step2) We downloaded the RB2ClickOnce update as several sources pointed out that this version should be fixed in regard to the installation problem on x64 systems. However the installation still fails, stating that the Sharepoint Addin was not found. We already rebooted the servers but still no luck. Is there any further information available on how to handle this situation? Thanks for your assistance. Best regards Chris

Hi Chris, Have you modified the default ClickOnce application in SharePoint Central Administration so Report Builder 2 will be recognized? On the Start menu, point to Administrative Tools and then click SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration. On the Central Administration page > click the Application Management tab > In Custom Report Builder URL, type: /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application > Click OK. donwload the Readme_rsclickonceaddin.htm guidance for RB2ClickOnce.msi http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=22725 -IvanIvan Sanders My LinkedIn Profile, My Blog, @iasanders.
