SQL 2008 Reporting not displaying pic in uploaded Word or html resource help file
I was told and have read (page 489 Brian Larson SQL 2008 Reporting Services) that you can upload a Supporting Material document in Word, HTML or TXT for use as a help doc on the SQL 2008 Reporting website. I created a basic Word doc and uploaded it then when i click on it, it simply wants to open it in Word or Download it. I need it to render it in a web page format. So I saved it as an HTML and uploaded it and it would display but the pic has a smal red X where the pic should be. I copied the pic file to just about every known folder in case it could find it and even uploaded it as a supporting material file in the same folder but still no luck. I f it is possible where do I find the information to do it? Thanks in advance JRJefff R

Hi MDPILWL, According to your description, when you upload the html file to the report manager, the picture in the html file could not display, right? Please correct me if my understanding is wrong. If that’s the case, I have tried your scenario on my test environment, and the issue was reproduced. I am afraid it is a limitation in product. I suggest you to create an html page not transforming from a word file, and then copy the content to the html and add an image to the html using the following example: <img src="http://computername /Reportserver/?%2fPicture%2fchild.jpg&rs:Command=GetResourceContents"/>. Note: upload the image to the report server, and the image URL should be on the report server, not on the report manager. I have tested it on my computer and it works well. Hope it helps you. Thanks, Eileen
