Hi Iliass, there is support for SQL2008 R2, so I can't see why MS shouldn't support SP1. It would not make sense to support SQL2008R2 without SP1Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi, If it is not on this page, http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb309428.aspx , it is not supported.Anders Bengtsson | Microsoft PFE | blog at http://www.contoso.se

Hello dktoa, indeed it would not make any sense, but I'd like to see it mentioned on the supported configurations page :-) http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb309428.aspx the page has been updated August 24 2011. I first thought maybe they don't mention SP releases but SQL 2008 SP1, SP2 is mentioned. So did they forget to add this ?

Hi, According to the following thread, SQL server 2008 R2 SP1 is supported in SCOM 2007 R2: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/operationsmanagergeneral/thread/3b360fc0-c698-43aa-a206-69e88b0cca9e/Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Actually Vivian, that thread refers to SQL 2008 SP1 and not SQL 2008 R2 SP1. If it is not named explicitly in the supported configurations page that is already referenced it is not officially supported. Does not mean it will not work, but is not yet supported. Usually it takes a few months until the product group will say something about this and include it, but after extensive testing. As this SP is released in July 2011 (correct me if im wrong) I will assume it takes a bit longer until we get a definate supportability statement for this. It was the same for SQL 2005 SP4 some time ago.Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My BICTT Blog) - Microsoft Community Contributor 2011 Recipient
